INSTRUCTOR COURSES & CONVERSION TESTS
There is a shortage of qualified Lift Truck Instructors to deliver training and tackle skills shortages. And ensuring your Instructors are RTITB Registered is a sure fire way to maintain high standards, safety, and compliance.
That is why eligible Instructors can convert their qualification to RTITB quickly and easily with our Direct Transfer option. Instructors with an up-to-date registration with AITT, ITSSAR, LANTRA or NPORS can take an online conversion test, rather than attending a conversion course.

HOW DOES THE CONVERSION TEST WORK?
The Online Conversion Test is for Instructors who hold an equivalent Lift Truck Instructor qualification and are registered with another Accrediting Bodies Association for Workplace Transport (ABA) member, such as AITT, ITSSAR, LANTRA or NPORS. Their registration must be up to date and not expired.
Instructors have one attempt only at completing the 40 question online assessment. It covers:
- Instructional Techniques
- Operator Training and the Accrediting Bodies Association approach to Operator Testing
- Questions from the Counterbalance Basic Operating Skills Associated Knowledge Test
- Hazard Perception
Once expired, Instructors will need to re-register in the normal way, by attending an RTITB Instructor re-registration course. The online test can only be used once to convert a qualification.
