Hot topics to transform your training at the RTITB Safety Summit 2024

Blogs | 3rd Jun 2024

We are delighted to share a sneak peak at the agenda and conference topics for the first RTITB Safety Summit and Awards, taking place in September 2024.

We believe that safety is the most vital consideration in the transport, logistics and warehousing industry. And that training plays a huge part in helping you to reduce risk. We also understand how important it is to attract and retain talent within our industry. That is why the agenda for the RTITB Safety Summit in Manchester on 19th September is designed to address exactly these challenges.

The daytime conference will include a selection of informative seminars and interactive workshops, alongside valuable networking opportunities, a focused and relevant exhibition, and refreshments for delegates.

RTITB Safety Summit Conference Agenda Preview

While we are working on putting together a series of fantastic sessions for our delegates, we have confirmed the first key topics that will be covered. These will be relevant for employers with materials handling equipment operations and LGV/HGV operations, as well as Instructors.

By joining us for this unique industry event, you can look forward to learning about:

  • Unconscious bias in assessment – how can we improve testing and assessments by recognising and removing unconscious bias?
  • Operator and driver fatigue and fatigue management – what are the risks of driver and operator fatigue, and how can we improve safety by changing attitudes to fatigue?
  • Neurodiversity – with an industry talent shortage, how can our industry better cater to neurodiverse individuals during training and assessment and in the workplace?
  • Investigating workplace transport incidents – uncover what actually happens when an incident occurs and what you could expect during an investigation

Expert speakers will share their invaluable insights. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn, share, and discuss their own pain points and successes. This is truly set to be an industry event like no other, and an opportunity to come together and collaborate in the name of safety.

Stay tuned as we will be announcing more agenda topics soon!
