- As a member of the RTITB Driver CPC Consortium, GXO has frontline access to what is happening in the industry, keeping the organisation up to speed and at the forefront.
- Access to industry-leading standards of information and training materials benefits the drivers in their training and the instructors delivering it.
- Online learning materials and methods from RTITB enable GXO and its instructors to employ a flexible approach. They can choose to deliver training using workshops, quizzes, presentations, whilst maintaining control, with standardised, approved materials.
- Knowing that all materials will be produced by RTITB to a high standard, verified by JAUPT, enables GXO to focus on delivering the training and managing the administration side.
- Instructors feel empowered and supported to deliver excellent standards of training, flexibly. The extensive library of materials, accessed via the portal gives them input, passion, and motivation, to help them do their jobs effectively.
- Training drivers to become instructors is an important investment for GXO, and the informative, engaging instructor qualification courses, provide all they need to facilitate that.
- GXO increased its overall standard of Driver CPC training as a member of the RTITB Driver Consortium, with access to training materials and qualifications that are recognised by JAUPT (Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training). This gives instructors credibility and the level of competence required to deliver safe and effective training that is verified by JAUPT.
- Developed a flexible delivery approach to ensure maximum trainee engagement, using a GXO UK portal that hosts all the GXO DCPC training material, which has been developed with RTITB.
WHAT GXO HAS ACHIEVED BY WORKING WITH RTITB
- Made training more targeted and more engaging, with the introduction of the innovative MHE eLibrary and Managers eLibrary. These are bespoke to GXO, created with the specific business needs in mind.
- Excellent levels of communication between managers and instructors is vital given the business’s growth agenda. To keep them in touch and updated with the latest MHE Training material, and any changes in Industry standards, GXO worked with RTITB to build a tailored online portal.
- Efficiency has improved for trainers as the portal holds all MHE training materials and documents. It is a one-stop shop for trainers to access the training materials, and administration documents they need from day to day, as well as maintaining communication with managers.
- Standards have been enhanced across the operation for Instructors delivering MHE operator training, by providing what they need including standardised, industry best practice materials.
ONGOING RTITB PARTNERSHIP
GXO and RTITB have been working together since GXO was founded in 2021, though the relationship between the Operational Training Senior Manager and RTITB spans 15 years. GXO and RTITB are working together to further develop the existing portals, as well as a new Driver Compliance eLearning Platform, which will act as an educational tool to help standardise compliance
