What is covered in Driver CPC Periodic Training?
It’s up to you! Members of our Master Driver CPC Consortium have access to a library of more than 100 topics to choose from. This means that you can choose to focus your training on things that are of interest to your drivers. Furthermore, it means you can select topics that can benefit your business and deliver measurable ROI on training.
Here are just a few of the topics that you might not realise are available as part of RTITB Driver CPC training, and, importantly, how they can help you!
Food and Drink Logistics
Did you know that we have a dedicated Driver CPC module tailored to the particular challenges of businesses in food and drinks logistics?
This module focuses on both chilled and frozen refrigeration, equipping drivers with an understanding of vehicles with trailer fridge units, temperature and food hygiene requirements, as well as the relevant PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required when working in harsh environments.
Mental Health
One in four people in the UK will have a mental health problem at some point. Are you doing what you can to ensure the mental health of your LGV Drivers?
The role of a driver can be isolating, with long periods of time away from family, which can become a contributing factor to poor mental health, leading to time off. Our Driver CPC module can help teach how to spot the signs of depression, anxiety, PTSD, and more, to keep your drivers healthy and reduce the costs and disruptions associated with sick days.
Safe and Economic Driving
Do you have environmental or cost targets to meet with fuel efficiency? Do you need to reduce accidents within your fleet on the road? Driver CPC can help you!
With RTITB’s Safe and Economic Driving modules (both theoretical and practical), drivers will gain better traffic awareness, leading to improved fuel efficiency, better planning, higher productivity and safer driving. This helps maintain customer satisfaction, while helping your business increase efficiency and reduce costs.
