Bus Instructor Training
By the end of the Bus Instructor course candidates will:
- Be able to plan and deliver PCV/PSV training
- Be able to recall and discuss the responsibilities of a Bus Instructor
- Be able to explain the content and objectives of the PCV/PSV driving test
Candidates must successfully complete an independent examination to register on the RTITB Register of Professional Instructors.
The Bus Instructor course is suitable for candidates who:
- Have held (or still hold) a valid Category B entitlement for 3 years of more
- Have significant experience as professional PCV/PSV drivers
- Have the confidence to present to small and large groups of their peers
- Have strong knowledge of The Highway Code
- Have good communication skills

2 candidates, 1 instructor, 1 vehicle: 10 days £7030

Bus Instructor - Initial
A course for very experienced PCV/PSV drivers who wish to deliver PCV/PSV driver training and who have not been formally trained as an Instructor before.
To deliver training on your site, you must meet all course resource requirements.
1 candidate, 1 instructor, 1 vehicle: 7 days £4375 (including examination fees)
2 candidates, 1 instructor, 1 vehicle: 10 days £6250 (including examination fees)
The price does not include travel, accommodation and subsistence and will be charged at an additional fee.
